The Bird (Or: Marty, Clown) (2021)
Role: Director
A documentary following the life of street performing Buddhist Marty Levin as he navigates through a changing world.
I started filming Marty’s life as a street performer in February 2020. Over the course of the next six months, the whole world changed. In March, the U.S. was forced to shut down due to the coronavirus. In May, a string of police brutality sparked protests in every corner of the country. Nightclubs where Marty performed closed down, and Marty was left with a constant dilemma of whether his clowning would be more beneficial or harmful to the people he performed for. This film begs the question of is the clown dead? Throughout the documentary, Marty discusses a growing distaste among people when it comes to clowning, however, his perseverance despite the chaos serves ambiguity to the question.
St. Anthony (2024)

Made with the prestigious FAMU summer narrative workshop, “St.Anthony” follows an alcoholic pickpocket who has a religious awakening after losing their own wallet.
