Dara is an Emmy-nominated showrunner and director with over two decades of experience. She thrives exploring new places and perspectives, and telling compelling stories that engage, entertain, and maybe have even just a tiny bit of positive impact.

 

Dara has filmed on six continents and recently led and/or directed series for Amazon Sports (Surf Girls), Netflix (Sprint, Worn Stories, Ugly Delicious, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, Chelsea) and Disney+. Her work focuses on character-driven narratives rooted in diverse worlds and topics including sports, culture, food and travel. Alongside many series, her career has included branded pieces, as well as features and shorts in collaboration with various award-winning documentarians. In addition to developing her own projects, Dara has worked with companies like A24, Boardwalk Pictures and MakeMake Entertainment in early phases of shaping and pitching new material.

 

Whether working to capture the stories of A-list celebrities or equally amazing, utterly un-famous people, Dara appreciates authenticity, humor, prime lenses and a good window seat. She holds US and Canadian passports.
