John C. Lyons and Dorota Swies created Lyons Den Productions LLC in 2004, an independent production company specializing in digital video entertainment and professional design services. In 2016 they formed Unearth Film LLC to produce their first SAG-compliant feature film, Unearth, which held its world premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival, won awards at several international film festivals, held a limited USA & Canada theatrical run, and is currently distributed in over a dozen territories worldwide.John C. Lyons writes, directs, produces, and edits narrative, dance, and documentary films. He uses the medium to bring issues to the masses and inspire political or social change.

Unearth (2021)

A fracking horror story, “Unearth” follows two neighboring farm families whose relationships are strained when one of them chooses to lease their land to an oil and gas company. In the midst of growing tension, the land is drilled, and something long dormant and terrifying, deep beneath the earth’s surface is released. “Unearth” is about the horrifying repercussions sown by shortsighted decisions, and what our children reap from our actions.
