Julie Gustafson is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose works have aired nationally on PBS and cable, including POLITICS OF INTIMACY (1973), GIVING BIRTH (1975), HOME (1979), PURSUIT of HAPPINESS (1987), CASTING THE FIRST STONE (1991), and DESIRE (2005). The recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, she has collaborated on other major films including Barbara Kopple’s FALLEN CHAMP: THE UNTOLD STORY OF MIKE TYSON, David Van Taylor’s DREAM DECEIVERS, and Aaron Walker’s BURY THE HATCHET.  An educator as well as a media artist, Julie has taught at the New School for Social Research, the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and Emerson College.
