Biography

I am a documentary filmmaker with a background in writing and photography. Combining my love for storytelling and appreciation for imagery into film is a natural evolution. I am interested in what makes people tick, in stories of social justice, and in showcasing the inspiring work of ordinary — and extraordinary — people. I strive to find common ground in this fractured world through docuemtnary work. Two of my short films have been nominated for a New England Emmy, and my work has appeared in festivals across the United States.

Every Day But Sunday (2024)

Role: Independent Filmmaker

Massachusetts-based bird photographer Dan Oh discusses how he developed a passion for birds. “Bird watching is for old people, people who have nothing better to do,” was his initial response when someone at his church invited him on a birding excursion. Now, he feels that “God has given me this desire and passion,” says Oh, who goes birding every day but Sunday. That passion can be seen in Oh’s stunning photographs and video footage featured in this short documentary by Danielle Mannion and Susan Young.
