Biography

Roberto Miller’s mission is to make films that draw connections between the real world and the inner world, inspiring seekers to journey from fear to wonder. He studied creative writing at Stanford University while producing multimedia projects for the Computer Science Dept. In 1994 he left Stanford to found Pure Grain Digital Productions and made the first all-digital film, “Mail Bonding,” which won festival awards and was featured in American Cinematographer as the first all digital film. Roberto went on to direct and produce TV commercials for Silicon Valley companies such as Hewlett Packard and Apple before returning to filmmaking with his award-winning feature film, Mandorla. Recently, he completed the documentary The Four Lives of Federico Faggin, and is currently developing a documentary series called Frame of Mind. He is based in Silicon Valley, Portland, and Lyon, France.
