Nada Djordjevich is currently in post-production for her first live-action film, a romantic comedy short, set in San Francisco. Her narrative debut, California Pie, currently on the festival circuit, won Best Animated Film at both the Oregon Short Film Festival in Portland, Oregon, and the City Film Festival in Stockholm, Sweden.nAs a writer, Nada received scholarships to attend the Community of Writers in California, Vermont Studio Center, and the Southampton Writers Conference. She conducted readings at the San Francisco Litquake Literary Festival and the KGB Bar in New York, and co-founded the acclaimed literary journal On the Page. Her feature and short screenplays ranked in competitions including the Academy Nicholl Fellowship (top 10% of over 8000 entries in 2021), BlueCat, Chesterfield, Zoetrope, and many others.
 
 

Nada Djordjevich is a writer, director, and social impact consultant. Her first live action film, the romantic comedy short, Eat Surf Love is set to premiere at the Ashland Independent Film Festival in 2024. Her first animated film, California Pie, screened in multiple festivals and earned honors including  “Best Animated Film” at the Oregon Short Film Festival and at the City Film Festival in Stockholm, Sweden. 

Nada taught writing at City College of San Francisco and other institutions. She co-founded the acclaimed literary journal On the Page, and her screenplays ranked in competitions including the Academy Nicholl Fellowship (top 10% of over 8000 entries), Chesterfield, Zoetrope, and many others. She received scholarships to attend the Community of Writers, Southampton Writers Conference, and the Vermont Studio Center.  She participated in readings at the San Francisco Litquake Literary Festival and the KGB Bar in New York.

She attended the UCLA Screenwriting Program, and has degrees from Harvard and UC Berkeley. She has been a social impact consultant for many years, working with nonprofits, museums, universities, and educational organizations. Her projects range from public service announcements, to community outreach, and resource development. As a grantwriter, she raised nearly $40 million to address health and economic disparities, advance educational equity, and expand youth access to environmental programs and the arts.
