Independent Filmmaker

Organization: Veteran Culture Documentary

Joshua wrote, produced, and directed the comedy short film Millennial Tiny House USA!, which premiered at the 2021 Austin Film Festival. Joshua learned valuable lessons in leadership while in the U.S. Army. Throughout his five years of service, Josh deployed as a U.S. Army Sniper to Afghanistan and led an infantry team with the Ohio National Guard. While obtaining his MBA, Joshua co-founded an app called Ossemble, dedicated to community organizing. Joshua led the app through several milestones, including a product launch, joining a tech investment incubator, and getting pilot customers. After moving to Austin, TX, he began pursuing comedy through improv/sketch classes and writing courses. Currently, Josh continues to dive into every aspect of filmmaking with a passion for leading creative teams.

I’m currently working on a documentary about Veteran culture and stereotypes. I’d love to connect and hear more about your project!
