Walt Disney

Walt Disney, produced and directed by Sarah Colt, is a four-hour program created with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities and broadcast on PBS’s history series AMERICAN EXPERIENCE in September 2015. It explores the complex life and enduring legacy of one of America’s best-known storytellers – Walt Disney. Featuring rarely seen footage from the Disney archive, scenes from some of Walt Disney’s greatest films, interviews with biographers, animators and artists who worked on his early films and the designers who helped turn his dream of Disneyland into reality, this film reveals the makings of the man who would leave an indelible mark on our nation’s cultural history.
