On October 23, 2005, Fernanda Rossi, the “Doc Doctor,” presented a four-hour workshop for producers, directors, writers and editors to help them stop the guess work of what works and what doesn’t for an effective fundraising trailer.

Participants learned the foundational story structures for fundraising trailers, the most common mistakes filmmakers make when making their trailers, and how to avoid them. They also viewed trailers before and after Fernanda’s doctoring, watched examples of successful fundraising trailers, and discussed fundraising trailers brought by audience members.
