We live in a moment of history where change is so accelerated, we understand the present only as it begins to disappear.

This thought from R.D. Laing describes today’s media landscape: a world of decentralization, multiple platforms, new models of funding and distribution, and opportunities that are as dizzying as they are exciting. Making Media Now is the signature event of Filmmakers Collaborative. It draws industry professionals and thought leaders from across the country for an unparalleled day of hands-on learning and networking. The day includes trade show, lunch, workshops all day, one-on-one consultations (first come first served) and a cocktail reception.

This year, MAKING MEDIA NOW kicks off an entire weekend of hands-on learning, teaching and networking. MMN will feature “big tent” sessions on how to thrive across industries, interactive sessions on creating media-fueled impact, crowd sourced funding models, and reframing distribution in a hyperconnected world. The conference also features Art of the Pitch, with real pitches critiqued by industry funders and broadcasters, and Speed Dating for New Alliances. Continue exploring all things non-fiction at THE DOCUMENTARY SUMMIT, held June 9-10. Sign up for both and get $50 off the Documentary Summit.
