Exploring both sides, Native-American and white, of the “Last Stand” conflict, this film explores the creation of the myth of George Armstrong Custer’s “Last Stand” by focusing on the larger context of the American conquest of the West.
“The result… is a gripping reconstruction of the battle and, more importantly, events before and after that give it a full and fresh perspective.”
–John Koch, The Boston Globe“What ‘Last Stand at Little Big Horn‘ attempts and admirably accomplishes is to put the event in a proper, and thereby less glorified, historical perspective by presenting a clear-eyed view of the “hero” and by allowing us to hear the story of the battle from the American Indian perspective.”
–Rick Kogan, Chicago Tribune
