REBIRTH PRODUCTIONS is producing a feature length documentary about the Cape Wind project—a proposal to build America’s first offshore wind farm in the middle of Nantucket Sound, which exploded into a battle over the future of wind power in the United States. The battle is raging into its seventh year and has spilled over from the picturesque waters of Nantucket Sound to the State House in Boston and to the Senate floor in Washington.

CAPE WIND shows the fight through the eyes of its characters – which include some of the most prominent environmentalists, politicians and businessmen in the country. As the stakes continue to rise, the story is a telling microcosm of the divisiveness the renewable energy industry faces as it struggles to remove the shackles of America’s fossil fuel dependency.
