Eric Forman

Eric Forman is a documentary producer/shooter currently living in Brooklyn, New York. Forman began his career in documentaries while a sophomore at Boston University when he spent a summer internship at Public Policy Productions working on Academy Award nominated film SOUND AND FURY. He graduated cum laude from BU in 2001 with a degree in Philosophy and Religion.

After working for various independent filmmakers in Boston, including a stay at The Filmmakers Collaborative, Forman moved to New York in 2005. He started Forman Films in 2006 to produce his own documentaries of social importance. Forman also works at award-winning Ambrica Productions where he both associate produced and assistant edited their latest film Young & Restlesss in China for PBS FRONTLINE.

Eric’s co-producer Jess Beck is a documentary film and television producer and has written, produced and directed programming for Discovery Channel, The Science Channel, National Geographic,TLC, MTV and Bravo. She has been on location in Ethiopia, Ecuador, France, England, Australia, Alaska and throughout the continental United States. Jess was an Associate Producer and sound recordist on A Walk to Beautiful, which was honored with the International Documentary Association’s Best Documentary award for 2007. She is partnering with Eric Forman to produce their first independent documentary.
