Dawna Sirard

Dawna was born and raised in Connecticut but relocated in 2002 to Los Angeles to work as a designer for The Hand Prop Room. During this time, she worked on several features, including Spider-man, The Panic Room and Planet of the Apes as well as several television venues: Frasier, West Wing & Third Watch.

She moved back home to attend Smith College as an Ada Comstock Scholar (returning adult student) and received her BA in Film Studies. While at Smith, she had the pleasure of studying with several talented professors, including film author and critic Alexandra Keller, playwright, author and script supervisor Len Berkman and Emmy-nominated Art Director, Edward Check.

Dawna also attended the New Filmmaker’s Program at the Maine Media Center in Rockport, Maine where she developed first-hand technical experience in all aspects of film-style production, including scriptwriting, film production and non-linear editing.

Dawna is currently at work on Life Abstract.
