David Murdock
David Murdock has produced a wide range of documentary work over a 15-year career including investigative journalism for Frontline, science programming for PBS, and natural history profiles for National Geographic Television.
In 2007, Murdock reported from the Congo for Bill Moyers Journal about humanitarian efforts taking place to rebuild the war-torn nation. Nominated for three Emmy Awards, Murdock won in 2008 for his work on the PBS series, The Mysterious Human Heart.
As a shooter/producer Murdock spent a year at a non-profit internet site called The American News Project. As head of ANP’s video team, Murdock shot, edited and posted regular web reports on the Bush administration’s waning days, the 2008 presidential election, and the historic financial meltdown. Murdock’s Alive at the Village Vanguard will be his first feature documentary.
