Daniel K. Hunter

At an early age Daniel Hunter developed a love for the arts growing up in the Washington D.C. Metro area. In 2005 Daniel attended Berklee College of Music to pursue a career in audio engineering and composition. During his years in Boston he was introduced to filmmaking and saw the beauty of bringing many art forms together.

Changing his career focus from music to film, Daniel moved to Los Angeles to study Post Production. After graduating from Video Symphony in the spring of 2009, Daniel landed a staff position at Gray Martin Studios as an assistant sound editor. He has gained experience working for eleven television networks and has cut his teeth on shows such as HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, and MTV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger.

As his love for film continued to grow, Daniel was inspired by a close friend to pursue a career as a filmmaker. In June 2010 he signed on as a partner and producer with Solo Journey Productions. On February 12th, 2011, his short film “Know Your Role” had its World Premiere at the historic Egyptian theater in Hollywood, California. Also in February 2011 Mr. Hunter
launched the website postinblack.com. Post in Black is dedicated to creating awareness in the African American Community for the Post Production Arts.

Mr. Hunter is currently in Production on the feature-length film,
