Alessandro Paci

Alessandro was born and raised in Florence, Italy. At the age of 18 he started a comedy duo, I Due Mendi, with Massimo Ceccherini and started touring the entire country with stand-up comedy.

In 1986 the duo wrote and performed their first theater comedy show, which they performed in theaters all over Italy. In the following twenty years they wrote 5 other theater comedy shows, one of which, Pinocchio, was distributed on DVD and has been in the top 10 of most rented Theater Show DVDs. Since 2002 Alessandro has been also touring with his solo comedy show “Grande Paci” all over the country.

In 1990, Alessandro landed his first movie role in a comedy, which was quickly followed by several lead roles in major comedy movies distributed in Italy. Up until today he has had roles in over 30 movies.

As a filmmaker, Alessandro Paci, has over two decades of experience as a comedy movie writer and director. His experience derives from his work on stage, television and in movies.

Besides interpreting roles in over 30 movies, he has written and directed a film “Andata e Ritorno“ that
was produced by Cecchi Gori and distributed nationwide in Italy by Medusa in 2003. In addition he has
directed 5 films that were distributed on DVD by Cecchi Gori Home Video.

A detailed list of the filmmaker’s film work can be viewed on his personal website www.paci.it.

Currently, Alessandro is at work on “Frank Jabroni – Public Enemy No. 9” — a feature film focusing on Franco Giabroni — a modest Italian filmmaker obsessed by only one thing: directing an American movie.
