Sarah Colt is an independent documentary filmmaker who has been working in public television for nearly two decades. She recently completed a four-hour biography of Walt Disney, funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities, which will air in September 2015 as part of PBS’s award winning history series American Experience.

Her previous credits include writing, producing and directing “Henry Ford,” a two-hour biography for American Experience, “A Nation Reborn” and “A New Light” for PBS’s Frontline and American Experience special series God in America, “The Polio Crusade,” a one-hour program about the development of the polio vaccine for American Experience and “Geronimo,” part four of the PBS special series on native history, We Shall Remain.

Colt attended Harvard University where she began her documentary career as a still photographer and earned several prizes for her work, including a Radcliffe Traveling Fellowship that sent her to Zimbabwe for a year.
