Filmmaker Jenny Alexander presents her film as part of the Film Talks program underwritten by the Lowell Cultural Council. The theme for the library’s series is “Youth Matters.” Mario was arrested in an immigration raid a year after graduating with honors from Chelsea High School. Immigration agents came to his house looking for a criminal who didn’t live there, arresting Mario instead and initiating deportation proceedings. Mario is one of many individuals without criminal records who have been caught in immigration sweeps.
